Joyce E. Murdock

SOUTH BEND - The gentle soul of Joyce Elizabeth returned to God on August 4, 2010.
She was born the only child of Howard and Lucille (Kinerk) Murdock on May 1, 1944.
Both parents are deceased. Joyce lovingly cared for her mother for many years. She graduated from LaPorte High School in 1962, St Mary's of the Woods, Terre Haute, Ind. in 1966, and Purdue School of Nursing in 1977. Joyce lived her passion for nursing, retiring from Memorial Hospital, South Bend. She was known among her colleagues as a "great IV nurse".
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in St Joseph Catholic Church in South Bend. Visitation will be in the church one hour prior to the mass.
Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, IN. Joyce leaves dear friends a wealth of smiles and laughter by her good humor. May she now rest peacefully with her parents and family. Joyce loved to read, so in lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to the St. Joseph County Public Library.
